How to Decrapify .Sims3Packs and .Packages [FOR STORE CONTENT, etc.]

UPDATE: I have fixed the Decrapifier download link already. I apologize for any inconveniences the previous link has caused.

Way back in 2009, you had the ability to install ANY .Sims3Packs (ehem, copies of original store stuff downloaded for free via torrent/ sharing sites). Aware of this, EA released Patch 1.8 (I think) to fix this issue. People had to find a way to install these .Sims3Packs, so poof, we got to decrapify them prior to installation.

Here's how you do it:
1. Download the decrapifier here.

2. Use WinRar or any similar .rar extractors to extract the files anywhere in your computer. It contains a folder named "Decrapify" containing 3 files which will do the trick.

3. Make sure you know where you extracted the contents of the .rar file

4. Download any The Sims 3 store object. If the file you downloaded has a .rar, .zip, or .7z extension, use WinRar or any similar program to extract its contents. Make sure the files you extracted have .Sims3Pack or .package extensions.
[I will post ALL the stuff in this blog but it will take a little while.]

5. Place the downloaded content (either in .Sims3Pack or .package format) inside the "Decrapify" folder together with the 3 files originally inside it.

6. Inside the "Decrapify" folder, double click on "decrap.bat" to start decrapifying your stuff. Once it finishes, your store content is now ready to install.

7. Before you launch the game, download the fix here and install it the same way you install .package files. (YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS EVERYTIME YOU INSTALL A NEWER STORE CONTENT THAN THE LATEST ONE INSTALLED IN YOUR GAME.)

NOTE that in some cases, especially in premium content from The Sims 3 Store, you may need to download fixes. [I will post them here too so don't worry.]

That's all. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Happy Simming!
